屋裡沒水了，幾個人決定抽火柴定誰出去：誰抽到燒焦的那根誰去。克雷格倒霉抽中，出去前反覆要大家保證把他拉回來；同伴卻不肯 make any guarantees（打包票），只說 We're gonna do our best（我們會盡力）。想學怎麼拒絕把話說死、怎麼含糊應承，這幾句都很真實。

屋裡快沒水了，眾人先想搶艾瑪·沃森手裡的喝的，被弗蘭科攔下；最後決定抽火柴：誰抽到燒焦的那根，誰就出去拿水。克雷格不幸抽中，還問要不要 best two out of three（三局兩勝），沒人答應。出門前他求大家一定把他拉回來，同伴卻不肯 make any guarantees（打包票），只說 We're gonna do our best（我們會盡力），還先來一次 test run 演練。這裡能學到：make any guarantees 是「打包票、做保證」；do our best 是「盡力而為」；best two out of three 是「三局兩勝」。想寫打賭定輸贏、答應得模稜兩可，這些說法都能用。

do our best。片裡大家不肯保證一定拉回他，只說 We're gonna do our best，就是「我們會盡力」。換主語就變 do my best / do their best。
best two out of three。片裡有人抽火柴抽輸了，還問 You want to go best two out of three，就是「要不要三局兩勝再來」。比賽、遊戲裡很常用。
ease up。片裡有人吵起來，旁人勸 Hey, okay, ease up. Just chill out，就是「行了，別上火，冷靜點」。想讓人緩和語氣就用它。
know for sure。片裡說 I know for sure there's at least two jugs of water，就是「我確定至少有兩桶水」。強調很有把握時用它。
