莫札特進宮覲見皇帝，被引見給薩列里等人。皇帝一句 Down to business（言歸正傳、談正事），要委約他寫歌劇；眾人又為用德語還是義大利語爭起來。最後莫札特說 Keep it. It's already here in my head（留著吧，它已經在我腦子裡了）。想學怎麼寒暄、談正事、誇口，這幾句很實用。

莫札特初到維也納，進宮覲見約瑟夫二世皇帝，被一一引見給範·斯維滕男爵、樂長博諾、劇院總監羅森貝格，最後是宮廷作曲家薩列里。皇帝一句 Down to business（言歸正傳、談正事），當場提出委約他寫一部歌劇。莫札特想用德語，還說自己已經找到最妙的 libretto（歌劇劇本），講的是一個 set in（發生在）後宮的故事。眾人嫌這題材 indecent（下流的、不體面的），又拿義大利歌劇開涮。莫札特半點不怯，反唇相譏，最後皇帝讓他用德語。臨了皇帝發現他只憑聽一遍就記住了整首曲子，讓他當場彈出來。想學怎麼寒暄、談判、反擊，這些說法都很精彩。
A1–C2 是歐標等級。點一個等級後，比它高的卡片會變淡，播放到那裡不會自動暫停。

先否定再定性，兩個短句砸下來，痛快也魯莽。

vote for。臺詞裡 Did we vote in the end for German or Italian? 是問「最後是投了德語還是義大利語？」，vote for 後面直接接支援的物件。
意思是「（故事）發生在」。臺詞裡 The whole thing is set in a harem 是「整個故事發生在一個後宮」，說小說、電影的背景地點都用 set in。
指「（歌劇的）劇本」，也就是歌劇的唱詞文本。臺詞裡說找到了 the most wonderful libretto，就是找到了最精彩的歌劇劇本。
indecent。臺詞裡莫札特辯解 It's not indecent，就是「它不下流」。說內容、玩笑不合適，都可以用 indecent。
met before。臺詞裡 We have met before 就是「我們以前見過」，後面常接 where 或 when，說明見面的地點或時間。
