hard questioning。劇裡說 force me to hard questioning，就是「逼我嚴加審問」，比 ask questions 更重，暗示要用強硬手段。
「布娃娃」，在薩勒姆的巫術案裡是關鍵物證。劇裡說 A poppet were discovered，就是「發現了一個布娃娃」，被當成施法的道具。
contemplation of murder，contemplation 是「盤算、蓄意」。劇裡 He charges contemplation of murder 就是「他指控的是意圖謀殺」，這是普羅克特反咬阿比蓋爾的關鍵罪名。
