take my place，字面是「佔我的位置」，引申為取代我。劇裡說 She thinks to take my place，就是「她想頂替我的位置」。
favor me with，是很客氣的請求說法。劇裡說 Would you favor me with this?，就是「你能幫我這個忙嗎」，比 Can you help me 更委婉。
