中性
fearsome 重讀，Giles Corey 放慢。

用 would 把認罪說成一個念頭而不是決定，猶豫全在這一個詞裡。

說出還沒定下的打算時用；對上級或正式場合要用 I am considering，別說 would。

法律用語，「拒不答辯、沉默到底」。劇裡 So he stand mute, and died Christian under the law 就是賈爾斯一聲不吭，按律法算以基督徒身份受死。
as you will，是較老式的說法。劇裡 As you will, I would have it 就是「你願意怎樣，我就依你怎樣」，把決定權交給對方。
字面「再加點重量」。賈爾斯受石頭壓刑，臨死只說了 More weight，等於用最後一口氣繼續硬扛，寧死也不認罪。
