hard hearted。它形容無情、鐵石心腸。奧麗維婭嘴上說自己 I will not be so hard hearted，其實是反著說。
意思是「酬謝你的辛苦費心」。pains 這裡指「辛苦、費心」，I thank you for your pains 就是「謝謝你這趟辛苦」，給賞錢時也常用。
很平靜、很堅決，意思是「我沒法愛他」。奧麗維婭反覆說這句，既明確拒絕，又保持體面，不含攻擊性。
