cheveril 是軟鹿皮，做的 glove 能隨意拉扯翻轉。費斯特用它比喻一句話在機靈人嘴裡可以被任意解釋，正反都能說通。
wise enough to play the fool。這是薇奧拉對費斯特的評價：要當好弄臣、把傻氣耍得聰明，也需要相當的才智。
他靠逗笑和耍嘴皮子過活，討賞就是他的營生。他跟薇奧拉開玩笑，說兩枚錢湊一塊兒就能生小錢，把討錢說得像一門生意。
