《第十二夜》這段分兩處：海邊，薇奧拉求船長 conceal me what I am（替我隱瞞身份），說 Thou shalt present me as an eunuch to him（把我當作閹人引薦給他），讓她女扮男裝去侍奉公爵；船長答應 Be you his eunuch, and your mute I'll be（你做他的閹人，我就做你的啞巴）。轉到奧麗維婭府上，托比爵士只顧喝酒，說 I'll drink to her as long as there's a passage in my throat（只要嗓子還通，我就要為她乾杯），還嘲笑安德魯是個 prodigal（敗家子）。安德魯把 accost（上前搭話）聽成夫人的名字，鬧出笑話。想學請託、發誓和古典喜劇裡的挖苦，這段很典型。

word for word。它表示逐字照搬、一字不差，比如 word for word without book 就是「不看書也能一字不差地說出來」。
意思是「宦官、被閹割的侍從」。薇奧拉讓船長把她當作 eunuch 引薦給公爵，是她女扮男裝計劃的一部分。
意思是「上前搭話、主動攀談」，比 talk to 更正式。臺詞把它解釋成 front her, board her, woo her, assail her，就是主動迎上去跟人搭話。
不是，是反語。gift 本是「天賦」，這裡說安德魯「天生膽小」，表面像誇，其實是損他膽小怕事、愛吵又不敢打。
