陪審室裡有人複述老頭的證詞：他聽見孩子喊「我要殺了你」，又有人說街對面的女士隔著高架列車看見行兇，說這 It's as plain as the nose on your face（一目瞭然）。也有人提醒，辨認一個喊叫的聲音沒那麼容易：It's not that easy to identify a voice（沒那麼容易聽清）。想學怎麼質疑證詞，這段全是關鍵句。

中性
how clearly 連讀，could have 弱讀，through the ceiling 平收。
I was wondering how well the witness could see in the dark. 我在想那位目擊者在暗處能看多清。
She said she saw the killing through the windows of a moving elevated train. There were six cars on the train. She saw the killing through the last two cars. She remembered the most insignificant details. I don't see how you can argue with that.

可以說 blow your stack，也可以說 blow your top。字面像「把爐子炸了」，形容突然火冒三丈。臺詞裡說 You're always blowing your stacks，就是「你老是發那麼大火」。
意思是收場、把事情了結。上班說 wrap it up 就是「趕緊收尾」；臺詞裡有人不耐煩，說 You ought to wrap it up，就是「你該收場了」。
指勸得某人打消念頭、放棄某事，反義是 talk someone into something。臺詞裡說 talk us all out of this，就是「把我們都勸得不投有罪」。
字面是「聽見自己思考」，用在噪音大的場合，指吵得連自己想的都聽不見，常說 can't hear yourself think。臺詞裡就用地鐵噪音說明這一點。
