陪審室裡有人盯住一個細節：女證人鼻梁上的印子說明她戴過眼鏡，可睡覺時她不會戴。八號陪審員一句 in question（受質疑），把她的目擊證詞打進問號；再說 a blur（模糊的一團），意思是你看見的可能只是一團影子。要質疑某人的說法或證據，這兩個說法都用得上。

可以說 a blur，指看到的是一團模糊的影子。八號陪審員說 I say she only saw a blur，意思是那個女人可能只看見一團影子，根本沒看清動手的人是誰。
用 throw out。臺詞裡有人說 we could throw out all the other evidence，就是把其他那些證據全都排除、不算數的意思。
女證人的視力被質疑後，又有一個人改了主意，投了無罪。十二人陪審團必須全體一致才能定罪，只剩一個人還堅持有罪，就定不了案。
public appearance。臺詞裡提到女證人為 her first public appearance 特意打扮，也就是「第一次公開露面」。
