阿隆佐和傑克在街上追上一個毒販，把他按倒，張嘴、抬舌頭，從嘴裡搜出快克和一把槍。阿隆佐給他兩個選擇：You want to go to jail or you want to go home（你想蹲大牢，還是想回家），逼他交出上家的名字。對方說自己 not a snitch（不當線人），可為了脫身還是供出了「沙人」，阿隆佐當場打電話核實。事後傑克不同意這套，說 That stuff doesn't fly anymore（那套現在行不通了），還擔心嫌犯投訴。審訊裡二選一逼供的說法、街頭對「線人」的叫法，還有 doesn't fly 這種表示「沒人買賬」的用法，都很實用。

說 plant something on someone。嫌犯喊 That motherfucker planted that shit on me，就是說那混蛋把東西栽到他身上。
指告密者、線人，也可以當動詞。片裡嫌犯說 I am no snitch，強調自己不當線人，不替警察報別人的名字。
用 AKA，是 also known as 的縮寫。查到名字時說 Kevin Miller AKA Sandman，就是凱文·米勒，外號「沙人」。
這是街頭黑話。bacon 本意是培根，俚語裡拿來罵警察，嫌犯一進門聞到味就說 Smell like bacon，等於是說這裡有警察味。
