說 the rules don't apply，意思是規則在這件事上不算數。戲裡說一條公路要是並不正式存在，那些規矩就不適用。
意思是「受不了、看不下去」，後面直接接人或事。戲裡 some artists can't stand the sight of their work 就是「有藝術家受不了看自己的作品」。
接名詞，表示「把自己看作……」，比如 I consider myself an artist 就是「我把自己當藝術家」，也可以說 consider myself lucky。
是粗話，意思是「惹毛他、把他惹火」，正式場合別用。戲裡對方半開玩笑地問他：惹毛那種人是不是好主意。
