用一個 in 的時機和 suddenly 的轉折，把演員與臺詞之間的化學反應說得很準：詞還是那些詞，換個人就活了。這是選角故事裡最漂亮的一句總結。

Then ... came in and suddenly on ..., the ... felt ...

形容某個人一齣現就讓同一件事活起來時用，口語、有畫面；說環境或巧合帶來改變時別用這個句式。

Then he walked in, and the lines came alive. ／ The same words suddenly worked on him.

Then Matt came in 輕快，suddenly 稍停，the lines felt funny 放慢收。

Then Priya joined and suddenly on her, the dull script felt alive. 後來普里婭來了，到她嘴裡，枯燥的劇本突然活了。

用 would have been 的虛擬語氣回頭看那些差點發生的替代方案，一句話道盡選角的驚險。簡短卻讓人後脊發涼：經典其實差一點就不存在。

感嘆某個關鍵選擇一旦不同、結果會截然不同時用，書面口語皆可；已成定局的事別拿來當計劃說。

It could have been a completely different show. ／ The show would have looked nothing like this.

It would have been 連讀，such a different show 逐詞清晰，show 收住。

It would have been such a different team without her leading it. 要不是她帶隊，那會是一支完全不同的隊伍。

It would have been such a different life if I had stayed. 要是我當時留下，那會是完全另一種人生。

用 And then came 把低谷直接擺上檯面，時間一量、數字一齣，前面順風順水的興奮立刻落地。講成敗起伏時，這種不加修飾的敘述最有說服力。

講一段由順轉逆的經歷時用，口語敘事、有節奏；正式報告裡的時間線別用這種口語倒裝。

And then nothing happened for two and a half months. ／ Then came a long stretch with no progress.

And then came 稍停，two and a half months 放慢，cast no one 加重收。

And then came about six months where we closed no deals. 接著大約有半年，我們一單都沒談成。

beg 和 beseech 兩個近義詞疊在一起，把低姿態拉到極致，也帶出喜劇式的誇張。一個 and 就能讓語氣從懇求變成可愛。

半誇張地說自己怎麼求人時用，口語、帶幽默；正式道歉或嚴肅求助時不要用這種戲謔疊詞。
