把「沒請自己的律師」說成一句認罪：不是被騙，是失職。說到一半的省略號，比說完更沉。

自責因疏忽而吃虧時用，語氣沉重。

Four documents. The first two are common stock purchase agreements, allowing you to buy stock in the newly reincorporated Facebook, as opposed to the old shares, which are now worthless. The third is an exchange agreement allowing you to exchange the old shares for new shares, and then finally a voter holding agreement.

下一章 · 23lawyer up找律師這場戲：加州辦公室裡的伏擊字面是「簽下自己的死刑判決書」，比喻親手把自己送進絕境。臺詞裡律師問愛德華多簽字時知不知道自己在籤死亡判決書，就是說他籤的稀釋協議等於自毀股權。
意思是「說實話、老實講」，常用來引出坦白或不太光彩的實話。臺詞裡 In all honesty, I thought they were my lawyers（老實說，我以為他們就是我的律師），帶著後悔和自嘲。
意思是「可以接受、能忍」，不是喜歡，而是勉強能過關。臺詞裡 I can live with that 就是「這個我能接受」，談判裡表示這條件還湊合。
as opposed to，用來把兩件事對照，強調「是前者，不是後者」。比如買新股 as opposed to the old shares，就是「而不是舊股」，寫正式說明時很好用。
指「誘導性問題」，提問方式已經暗示了想要的答案。臺詞裡吐槽對方的問題 outrageously leading（極其誘導），就是嫌它早就把結論塞進問法裡。
