喬在夜店替朋友頂班，給舞女科裡當保鏢，結果被科裡的男友吉米盯上，兩人從嗆聲到互相揭短。喬說別緊張，Nobody's raining on your parade（沒人想掃你的興）；又甩出一句 Water's wet, the sky is blue, women have secrets（水是溼的、天是藍的、女人都有秘密）。想學怎麼用損話佔上風，這段是範本。

Nobody's raining on your parade（別緊張，小夥子，沒人想掃你的興）。聊到科裡有沒有麻煩，喬不肯透露，只說 Women have secrets（女人都有秘密），還加一句「水是溼的、天是藍的」。吉米越說越衝，喬先不動手，反問一句「你不會覺得我這樣的老傢伙傷不了你吧」，然後一口氣報出吉米的老底：前四分衛、因賭球被禁、吸毒指控，最後甩下一句 another tragic tale of wasted youth（又一個青春虛度的故事）。想學怎麼用冷嘲頂回去、怎麼揭人老底，這些說法都夠勁。

用一句自嘲式的反擊，把對方的落魄全部推回給天賦被毀。

被貶低時用一句更狠的舊賬反擊，帶粗話，熟人衝突才這麼說。

用自嘲收場、把場面降溫時用，黑色幽默，正式場合別這麼說。

fill in。指臨時替別人上班或補上空缺，片裡喬說她僱的是邁克，我只是 filling in，就是「我來頂班」。
意思是「別擔心、別往心裡去」。sweat 在這裡是「發愁、著急」，別人道歉或緊張時，回一句 don't sweat it，就是「沒事，別在意」。
wasted youth。waste 是浪費，wasted youth 就是指白白浪費掉的年輕歲月，常帶惋惜或諷刺的語氣。
不只。in the mood 指「有心情、在狀態」，常接 for，比如 in the mood for a drink 就是想喝一杯；片裡用來說舞女隨時都在狀態。
