傑克一夥圍住喬和吉米又打又逼問，還拿詞開玩笑，喬諷刺說 we're being beat up by the inventor of Scrabble（居然被拼字遊戲的發明者揍了）。交鑰匙時車裡的炸彈突然引爆，兩人僥倖還活著。想學怎麼在黑幫戲裡損人、怎麼表達「受夠了」，這場的說法很利落。

夜裡，傑克一夥攔下喬和吉米，要他們交出那個信封，還動起手來。喬嘴硬，先拿路燈打岔，又諷刺這夥人：我們居然被拼字遊戲的發明者揍了。對方逼著交鑰匙，說信封在後備箱裡；就在開箱的瞬間，車裡的炸彈轟然引爆。喬問吉米還活著嗎，吉米說還不知道；兩人互相調侃這是不是廠家召回，還說死人可講不出冷笑話。確認都活著之後，吉米讓喬先走，說自己 take the heat（承擔責任）。趕來的警察卻早已 sick and tired of（受夠了）給他們收屍。

意思是「受夠了、煩透了」，比 tired of 語氣更重，兩個詞疊加強調厭煩到了極點，常用來抱怨反覆發生的事。
意思是「撐不下去、站不住腳」，形容某種處境或說法沒法再維持。片裡說 someone knows when a situation is untenable，就是「識時務、知道局面撐不住了」。
take the heat。heat 比喻捱罵、受苦，take the heat on something 就是「為某件事擔下後果」，職場和黑幫片裡都常用。
get out of here。它是很口語的驅趕，意思是「離開這兒、走開」，熟人之間也常用來表示「別逗了、少來」。
