If I'm wrong, I apologize（你對，我錯。要是我錯了，我道歉），又強調 I'm just a human being（我也是個普通人），最後提出握手、不追究，甚至說 take my word for it（相信我說的話）。這裡能學到：pull off 是「把難事辦成」；a two-way street 是「需要雙方共同付出」，形容友情、合作要互相；press charges 是「正式提出控告」，法律語境裡說要不要追究。想道歉、想擺出和解姿態，或者想拿一句話當保證，都能用上。

用 pull off，常搭配 pull it off / pull this off。它強調事情本來不容易，結果還是做成了。像 You pulled this off，就是「這事你居然幹成了」，帶點佩服的口氣。
不是。它是「把人逼瘋、煩死」，相當於 drive someone crazy。You're driving me nuts 就是「你快把我逼瘋了」，被吵得受不了、被煩到抓狂時最常說。
意思是「正式提出控告」，多出現在法律、警匪語境。I won't press charges 就是「我不告你 / 不追究」。受害者決定要不要報警、要不要起訴時，媒體和日常都會用這個片語。
意思都是「儘管、雖然」，但 in spite of 後面接名詞或短語，although 後面接完整句子。in spite of all that 就是「儘管有這一切」，傑裡用它把一堆苦衷一口氣總結掉。
