Jafar Unveils Aladdin's Lie, Explained: shine through
Aladdin brags about a lie that already failed, and the Genie shrugs. "At some point, real character's always gonna shine through," he says, and the second half of the scene proves it: Jafar reads the clues out loud and turns Aladdin's own story into the noose.
What happens
Aladdin tells the Genie that Jasmine has seen through him, then insists he still convinced her he was a prince. The Genie warns that real character always shows. Later, Jafar corners Aladdin, lays out the impossible kingdom, the carpet, and the missing monkey, and demands to know where the lamp is.

What's really going on
The first half is a comedy about a lie that won't hold. Aladdin is proud of his performance, but the Genie's line — "At some point, real character's always gonna shine through" — is the theme in plain words: a disguise can hide a person, not change him. The second half delivers on it. Jafar reads the clues out loud and turns the charm against Aladdin, spelling out the trap: "If you survive, it can only be because of the lamp." What makes it land is how little Aladdin has to do; his own story is the evidence. The boy who talked his way into the palace is finally out-argued by someone who never needed to be liked.
