一場國民自衛軍演習鬧得跟真打仗一樣：有人被「女間諜」打中，問追上沒有，回答 Not a hope（一點希望都沒有），人早跑向倫敦了。指揮部裡還定了規矩，午夜 on the dot（準點）路障必須關上。想學英式軍旅口語裡又穩又冷的說法，這段很地道。

A1–C2 是歐標等級。點一個等級後，比它高的卡片會變淡，播放到那裡不會自動暫停。

—追上了嗎？—沒戲了。她這會兒都到倫敦半路了。
一問一答，兩句短的就把追捕判了死刑，認命的語氣比抱怨更傳神。

判斷某事已經來不及、勸人別抱希望時用，語氣冷。
No chance. She's long gone by now. ／ Not a chance. She'll be there already.

Not a 連讀，重音落在 hope 和 London。

把報復說得像體貼，越客氣越嚇人，英式狠話全在這一句。

半開玩笑地放狠話、留後手時用，真威脅別人就過分了。
