下一章 · 08makes me sore讓我窩火這場戲：私房話傳遍全營字面是「治眼睛疲勞的景象」，實際是見到久等的人或物時說的「見到你真是太好了」。sore 是痠痛，sight 是景象，合起來就是讓人一看見就舒心。
可以說 come off it，語氣輕一點也可以說 come on。它是回絕誇張說法或裝腔作勢時的口頭語。戲裡有人聽了對方的官腔，直接回一句 come off it, Major。
可以用 put someone off，指讓某人對吃的東西或原本想做的事一下子沒了興趣。戲裡說 you put me right off my fresh fried lobster，就是「我的炸龍蝦都被你弄沒胃口了」。
是罵人，帶點黑色幽默。regular army 指正規軍裡的常備人員，clown 是小丑，合起來就是「十足的軍中活寶」，諷刺對方不正經、只會耍寶。
兩個都是「別來這套」的意思，但 knock it off 更偏「住手、停下」，come off it 更偏「別吹、別裝了」，多用來戳穿對方誇張或高高在上的話。
