come off it。它用來拆穿對方的虛張聲勢或裝腔作勢，帶點不耐煩，比如對方放狠話時回一句 Come off it，就是「少來這套」。
意思是「半吊子的、敷衍湊合的」，形容做事馬虎、裝置或機構不靠譜。劇中說 that half-assed army hospital，就是吐槽那家軍醫院不怎麼樣。
意思是「對某事特別忌諱、心裡有疙瘩」。劇中上校 has a thing about 平民進醫院，就是他對這件事特別敏感、不願通融。後面接名詞或動名詞。
它是 hell 的老式委婉說法，用來表示驚訝或惱火，相當於「搞什麼鬼」。What the Sam Hill are you doing? 就是「你到底在搞什麼鬼」，語氣比直接說 hell 含蓄。
