核彈已經飛向蘇聯，總統撥通熱線找季米特里。他先寒暄訊號是否 come through（傳過來），再艱難開口：我們一位指揮官腦子出了毛病，命令飛機去炸你們，還補上 They will not reach their targets for at least another hour（至少還要一小時才到目標）。想學怎麼在電話裡報壞訊息、又儘量不失禮，看它就夠。

核彈已經飛向蘇聯，總統在指揮室撥通熱線，先和季米特里確認訊號是否 come through（傳過來）。隨後他把話拉回正題：我們一直擔心炸彈會 go wrong（出岔子），如今真出事了——一位基地指揮官腦子不正常，擅自命令飛機去攻擊蘇聯；他說對方至少還要一小時才會飛到目標，願意把目標、飛行計劃和防禦系統的 rundown（簡報、詳細說明）交給蘇聯空軍，甚至說如果召不回飛機，就只能幫蘇聯把它們打下來。最後兩人為誰更抱歉爭了起來，他說自己 capable of（做得出）跟對方一樣抱歉。想學電話裡報壞訊息、下決心說重話，看它就夠。

指「簡報、詳細說明」，把事情要點一條條列清楚。劇裡說給對方一份 targets、flight plans 的 rundown，就是「目標、飛行計劃的詳細說明」。
