菲利普約哈里在酒吧見面，開口就是 I'm withdrawing from our partnership（我要退出我們的合夥），哈里急得追問 Why are you backing out（你為什麼要撤）。菲利普一句 I'll take the loss（虧就虧了）把話說死，又用 no alternative（別無選擇）逼他去找絞殺者。想把「我不幹了」說得體面又決絕，這段值得抄。
「擋我的道」：in my way（擋我的道）

前半段克里斯托當面質問菲利普：一邊想投資克里斯托的公司，一邊又給哈里撐腰，說不通。菲利普一句 Harry Fabian is in my way（他擋了我的路）道出立場，又說 It isn't your money that keeps him alive（讓他撐下去的不是你的錢），暗示只要哈里守著只辦古典式摔跤，生意註定失敗。後半段在酒吧，菲利普告訴哈里 Harry, I've brought you here to tell you that I'm withdrawing from our partnership，等於用 back out（中途退出、反悔）當場撤資，還說 I'll take the loss（虧就虧了）是最後答覆，最後用 no alternative（別無選擇）逼他去請絞殺者。

把絕路說成忠告，溫柔的語氣裡全是逼人就範。

用否定強調句一句話推翻了對方全部的自信，冷靜卻把主動權搶了過來。

可以說 I'm withdrawing from our partnership，也可以說 back out，指中途退出或反悔。片裡菲利普兩處都用到了。
不完全是，它指認下虧損，不再糾纏。菲利普說虧就虧了、這是最後答覆，就是不肯再投錢。
不一樣。in my way 是擋路、礙事，on my way 是在路上。片裡說某人擋了我的路，用的是 in my way。
意思是別無選擇，後面常接 but to。片裡是反問「你沒別的選擇吧」，其實是在逼對方接受條件。
