Make love, not war，是六十年代反戰運動的著名口號。句式是「做這個，不要那個」，即「要 A 不要 B」，後來也常被拿來玩梗。
意思是「看看、逛一逛」，常用來招呼顧客或約朋友。Check out our wide selection 就是「來看看我們種類豐富的商品」，比 look at 更口語、更熱情。
The store is now closing，是商店廣播的標準說法，簡潔又正式。也可以說 We are closing now 或 The store is closed，前者更接近打烊進行中。
