make an appointment。appointment 是「約定的時間」。臺詞裡說 let's make an appointment，就是「那我們約個時間吧」，看醫生、剪頭髮、辦業務都能用。
字面是「腦損傷」，臺詞裡醫生乾脆說 the procedure is brain damage，是承認這臺手術本身就會傷到腦子，只是程度輕。日常也可以誇張地說某事把人搞到 brain damage。
意思是「就像什麼都沒發生過」。臺詞說醒來會躺在床上 as if nothing had happened，用的是過去完成時 had happened，因為假設的事比「醒來」還要早，語氣像什麼都沒發生過一樣。
「情感核心」，指一段記憶裡最動情、最要緊的那部分。醫生說 when you eradicate that core it starts its degradation process，就是把核心剷掉，整段記憶就開始瓦解。
