哈里想在母校授榮典禮前跟希利換一天探視，帶兒子去看看。他追著前妻瓊反覆說 trade（換一天探視），又提起自己 go through（正在熬過某事）、連寫作都寫不出來。瓊一口回絕，說他滿口髒話教壞了孩子，一句 the rest of your life（你餘下的整個人生），把話說死。哈里抱怨她從不回電話，自己根本 get in touch with（聯絡上）不了她。求人換安排、被前妻數落、把話說絕，日常裡全用得上。

下一章 · 06it's benign是良性的這場戲：胸口疼去診所虛驚一場字面是「你餘下的整個人生」。前妻用它放狠話：我這輩子都不想再讓兒子見你。比 never again 更具體、更絕。
用 trade，最自然的就是 I want to trade one visitation day with him，就是「我想跟他換一天探視」。trade 後面直接跟要交換的東西。
本來是「天作之合」的好話，指兩人絕配。但在這部片裡是反諷：心理醫生愛上病人，還美其名曰天作之合，聽著就荒誕。
put it down to 是「把某事歸因於」，語氣中性，常是替對方找解釋，比如把那當成移情。blame 則是帶責備的歸咎，情緒重得多。
let oneself in for 指「給自己招來」麻煩或糟糕的事。金句裡說沒人能說我不知道自己招來的是什麼，就是明知有坑還往裡跳。
