go with the flow順其自然

I already knew that the next year was going to be kind of tough with treatment and recovery. And I guess the whole point of the chart in astrology is to... to avoid the danger that's not yet come. That's what they keep saying. "To avoid the danger that has not yet come." People have always been talking to me about don't paddle upstream, you know? Go with the flow. And I was like, "I totally get that." But it wasn't until I was actually in the Ganges that I sort of went... "Of course. It's going that way, anyway. Go with it." And if there's a rock, paddle around it. As it comes up, you can see the danger and you can navigate around it. And so it was a really nice thing to go, "I'm just going to go with the flow." You can't be questioning why. Just accept the things you can't change and do something about the things you can. The whole experience from my point of view was quite surprising. I feel, personally, so much better than when I came that I have to believe that it's done the same for him. I didn't want to do chemotherapy for a long time. See you soon. But my destiny has assured whatever I do. I'll do the chemotherapy to kill the cancer and I will use everything I've learned along the way to rebalance me and to help me for the rest of my life. It'll be interesting to see how it goes when I get home, back in... back in the mentalness of the west.

我早就知道，接下來這一年要治療、要康復，會挺難熬。 我猜占星裡那張星盤的意義，就是…… 避開還沒到來的危險。 他們一直這麼說。 “避開尚未到來的危險。” 人們一直跟我說，別逆著水往上劃， 懂嗎？要順流而下。 我當時想，“這我完全懂。” 可直到我真的泡在恆河裡，我才一下子…… “當然了，水本來就是往那邊流的。 順著它走就是了。” 要是前面有塊石頭，就繞著划過去。 它一冒出來，你就能看見危險，然後繞開它。 所以能說出“我就順其自然吧”，那感覺真好。 你別去追問為什麼。 接受你改變不了的事，再對能改變的事做點什麼。 在我看來，這整段經歷相當出乎意料。 就我個人來說，感覺比剛來時好太多了，我只能相信它對他也有同樣的作用。 有很長一段時間，我都不想做化療。 回頭見。 可不管我做什麼，我的命運早有定數。 我會去做化療，把癌症除掉， 我會用這一路學到的一切，重新平衡自己，幫自己過好餘生。 等我回到家、回到……會是怎樣，還挺讓人好奇的。 回到西方那種瘋魔勁兒裡。
