口語裡可以誇張地說 zap the fuck out of it。zap 指用射線打，the fuck out of 是「狠狠地、往死裡」的加強說法。注意這是粗口，正式場合別用，想客氣點可以說 zap it hard。
radiotherapy 是「放射治療」，用射線殺死癌細胞；scan 指掃描檢查，這裡醫生拿的掃描片就是 scan。淋巴瘤叫 lymphoma。
gut 是「肚子、腸胃」，in my gut 引申為「直覺上、心裡覺得」。瓦什蒂說 It doesn't feel in my gut，意思是直覺告訴她安迪不該這麼早走。
用 respond to chemotherapy，respond to 就是「對……見效」。醫生說這塊腫瘤 hasn't responded to chemotherapy，意思是化療沒起效。
