萨列里独自向上帝宣战：From now on,we are enemies（从现在起，我们是敌人），发誓要 I will hinder and harm your creature（我要在人间妨碍、伤害你的造物）。转头他在皇帝面前告莫扎特的状，又冷嘲对手 No,no. He has yet to achieve mediocrity（不，他连平庸都够不上）。想学怎么放狠话、怎么背后告状，这几句很过瘾。

萨列里在自己的房间里向上帝宣战，因为上帝把才华给了莫扎特那样一个 a boastful, lustful, smutty, infantile boy（爱吹牛、好色、下流、幼稚的男孩）。他发誓：From now on, we are enemies（从现在起，我们是敌人），要 I will hinder and harm your creature（在人间妨碍、伤害上帝的造物），I swear it（我发誓）。随后他在皇帝面前诋毁莫扎特，说他 not to be trusted（不值得信任），甚至指控他 molested（猥亵）自己的女学生。另一边莫扎特并不知情：职位被一个庸才抢走，他跑来求萨列里帮忙，说自己 I can't lose this post（不能失去这个职位），最后穷到开口问能不能 manage a loan（借他一笔钱）。想学怎么放狠话、告状、求人，这段很完整。

用 don't mean 假装不敢相信，把对方的经济窘境挑明。

听到意外或难以置信的说法时用；口语里带点客套的惊讶。

hinder and harm。台词里 I will hinder and harm your creature on earth 是萨列里的誓言：要在人间妨碍、伤害上帝的造物。
意思是「可被信任」。台词里 not entirely to be trusted 就是「并不完全值得信任」，be trusted 常用被动，说某人靠不靠得住。
simply can't。台词里 I can't lose this post. I simply can't 就是「我不能失去这个职位，就是不能」，simply 在这里加强语气。
意思是「生活贫困」。台词里 You don't mean you're living in poverty? 是「你不是说你过得穷困潦倒吧？」，poverty 就是贫穷。
意思是「好像我是个魔鬼似的」。台词里 as if I was a fiend 用来形容别人把他当坏人防，as if 后面接一个不真实的假设。
