critics are gonna 连读，promise 重读，句尾 okay 轻轻上扬像是在求对方信。

更不可原谅的是，他偏偏当众这么做。
先定罪名，再补一句当众，把羞耻感钉死在台面上。

指出某人错得离谱、还要强调场合难看时用；对朋友的家事别说这种狠话。

what's inexcusable 连成一串，重音压在同 inexcusable，public 落重收尾。

opening night。台词里说 You always think that on opening night，就是「每次首演之夜你都这么觉得」。戏、电影、展览的首演首映都能用这个词。
不能，它是骂人「蠢货、笨蛋」的俚语，来自意第绪语，语气很冲但不算粗口。台词里 Seymour 骂西德尼 putz，当着外人的面用会冒犯人。
意思是干这一行、在这一行混。台词里 You and me been in this business a long time 就是「你我在这一行混了很多年」，用来套近乎、显资历。
不完全是。loot 本指赃物、战利品，这里指赚到的钱；Count your loot 是让人别管差评，先盘算自己的进账，有点痞气，是行内人的调侃。
