在專業場合說明自己更適合替某人做事時用。

用 hardly 這種半否定詞把對方的資格輕輕削掉，既不撕破臉又立場清楚。法庭上的較量往往不靠高音，而靠這種精確的貶低。

在正式場合質疑對方資格或理由時用，剋制而有力。

That doesn't really make him suitable. ／ None of that makes him qualified.

把自己的請求包裝成對案件的判斷，用比較級而不是直接索要。正式場合的爭取，往往就藏在這種聽起來客觀的句子裡。

在正式場合婉轉地毛遂自薦、爭取角色時用。

一個正式的承諾句，簡單到沒有修飾，反而顯出一種不帶條件的承擔。把“願意”放在最前面，是莊重場合裡最有分量的表態。

在正式場合主動承擔責任或角色時用，語氣穩重，不適用於玩笑場合。

I am prepared to take on that role. ／ I would be glad to step in as his representative.
