But sure 輕輕帶過，重音落在 only 和 right。

要是真像你說的那樣，孩子，這鎮上的人就不會一個個把自己炸上天了。
用虛擬條件把天真頂回去，平靜的語氣反襯出最狠的現實。

別人把世界想得太簡單時能用，用虛擬語氣輕輕懟回去；對長輩或正式場合別這樣說話。

spread betting。本來指把賭注鋪開押多個結果，片裡那位長輩借它給巴迪的考試小聰明起名，聽起來像正經策略，其實是鑽空子。
等於 instead of，但更書面。老師那句 in lieu of your intensified efforts 就是「看在你格外用功的份上，這次……」，常見於通知、公告。
can't be bothered。片裡父母吵架時用它互相埋怨：你要懶得管，就別怪那幫小子惹事。日常抱怨沒心氣做某事，這句最省力。
look for trouble。西片裡一句 You looking for trouble 就是「你找事兒嗎」，語氣半開玩笑也半挑釁，看場合。
