有人吐完坐在淋浴里，把盘问预演了一遍：清酒、笑声、衣服是不是自己脱的。她换上客房的夏装，她不再进那间房，床上那个人还在。她怕自己变成证人，把这种理解叫做 legal truth（法律肯承认的那层真相）。接着她离开住处，雨中走了三小时，上出租车要去尤斯顿找妈妈。司机只跑机场，她抛出 you don't get to（你没有资格这么做），并威胁举报让他 go down（受罚、倒台、完蛋）。对方说要叫警察，转头打量她，脸色变了，随后递上纸巾。她说不知道去哪，仍请司机开去最近的警察局。三句分别用来拆开经历和法庭版本、拦住对方做主、放话让人倒台。

说 hooking up。盘问里一句是 You told people you were hooking up with him，比单纯约会更进一步，多半包括上床，也暗示两人本来就有这层关系。
就是一场按理会输的案子。看着车上的钟，法律直觉认定会输，她还是开口请司机去最近的警察局。
