新聞先是鋪陳這場全球尋券熱潮：這是 the sign of our times（時代的標誌），狂熱正 sweeping the world（席捲全球），運貨再快也趕不上，尋券的人越來越 desperate（絕望）。節目又直播一臺「計算機」，號稱能按 law of probability（機率定律）算出剩下三張券的位置，可它只顧耍寶，氣得主持人當場吐槽。接著，第三張券得主維奧萊特登場，她說 Here is Golden Ticket number three（這就是第三張券），還講起自己 how it happened（怎麼找到的）：她本來是個 gum chewer（嚼口香糖的人），為了找券 laid off gum（停了口香糖），改啃巧克力。最後她炫耀這塊口香糖嚼了三個月，還 beaten the record（打破紀錄）。come true 是成真；butt in 是插嘴。

說 come true，常和 dreams 搭配。原句 the happiest of dreams can come true，就是「最幸福的夢也能成真」，是很動人的說法。
指停用、暫時放下某樣東西。原句 I laid off gum，就是「我停了口香糖」，注意它也指「裁員」，要靠語境區分。
說 butt in，指打斷別人、插話。原句 Let me just butt in to say，就是「讓我插一句」，語氣挺隨意。
