這場戲：被判兩週牙仙差事
有人剛道完行頭的歉，話頭就轉成當面列罪。加上一對翅膀，禮貌被說成會 go out the window（突然全部作廢）。一週改成兩週，因為 unmitigated gall（毫不打折的厚顏）。想說規矩突然全部作廢，或說對方毫不打折的厚顏，這兩句就夠用。

行頭先被當成差錯道歉。訓斥很快開始：disseminating disbelief（四處散佈不信），後面連著扼殺夢想。有人扯到苔絲，插嘴被攔住，反問 Did I look as though I had finished speaking?（我看上去像是已經說完了嗎）。再拿警察和消防員作對照，說加上一對翅膀，禮貌就會 go out the window（突然全部作廢）。有人說對方居然敢，又毫不打折的厚顏，居然自稱牙仙，把他們堅守的一切變成笑柄。go out the window 是禮貌突然全部作廢，unmitigated gall 是毫不打折的厚顏，一週因此改成兩週。被人打斷時，或想說規矩突然不算、臉皮厚到不打折，這幾句都能用。

把讓人不信說成法庭罪名，句式一本正經，反差就是笑點。

比起沒有翅膀的人，你不該更敬畏有翅膀的人嗎？
用比較級把有翅膀的人放在更該敬畏的一邊，問句逼對方承認自己失禮。

熟人之間提醒失敬可以半開玩笑，對客戶會像教訓人。
你不該更拿他當回事嗎 ／ 有身份的人你反而更隨便

說 unmitigated gall。意思就是毫不打折的厚顏，不是普通的膽子大。訓話裡用它形容居然自稱牙仙，還把他們堅守的一切變成笑柄。
have the nerve 是居然敢，unmitigated gall 是厚顏到不打折。它們疊在同一句：先說居然敢，逗號後再說厚顏到不打折，後者比前者更不收著。
意思是我看上去像是已經說完了嗎。它不是泛泛的「看上去好像」。同一句裡先宣告還沒說完，這句反問把那句話再說一遍。被打斷時可以用這整句，別拆成 look as though 只記「好像」。
意思是對某人又敬又歎服。有人問：對有翅膀的人，不該比對沒翅膀的更 in awe of 嗎？more than 比的就是有翅膀和沒翅膀。這是敬與歎服，不是在誇翅膀好看。
