四個單詞就把昧著良心做事說成了天經地義，辯解裡帶著自嘲。

一句帶刺的地域偏見，把怕事的門房說成民族性，冷得讓人記得住。
You'll never teach someone to do something.
抱怨一類人改不了舊習時用；拿地域或國籍說事容易冒犯人，慎用。
You can't teach these people anything. ／ Some habits you simply cannot teach away.
口語
never 重讀，Austrians 上揚，good citizens 收得乾脆。
You'll never teach him to check his facts first. 你永遠教不會他先把事實核實清楚。
“That's a nice girl, that, but she ought to go careful in Vienna.”
那姑娘不錯，不過她在維也納得小心點。
前半句夸人，後半句用 ought to 悄悄遞上警告，客氣裡全是涼意。

提醒人注意安全、又不想把話說重時用；go careful 是英式口語說法。

nice girl 重讀，that 輕點兩下，go careful 連讀。

“I can't help blaming myself and wishing things had been different.”

把自己說成最自責的人，越動情越可疑，表演和真情混在一起。

中性
can't help 連讀成 can-help，blaming myself 重音在前。
