An' 吞音成 an，howled thus 連讀，句末壓低收。

她要是真去表白，他很可能瞧不上，因為這人一肚子傲氣。
半是設局半是誅心：先把結局說死，再補一句他性格涼薄。

'tis 縮成 t's，possible 重讀，contemptible 分四拍念清。
It is very possible he will turn the offer down flat. 他很可能一口回絕這個提議。

dote on someone。dote on 是寵溺、迷戀到有點過頭的意思，比 love 更重，常帶一點「愛得沒分寸」的味道。
不只。counterfeit 是「假貨、偽造品」，也可以指裝出來的感情，比如 counterfeit of passion 就是「裝出來的深情」。
這是句老式的發誓語，意思就是「我發誓、我說真的」。現在多見於古裝劇和文學，日常說 I swear 就夠了。
