不過，單筆的採購單仍然是公開記錄。
一句平靜的“這是公開記錄”，把對方所有的關心話打回原形。

still 和 public record 重讀，though 輕輕收尾。

用“恰恰相反”起頭，把敷衍包成奉獻，反諷拉滿。

for days 重讀拉長，down there 一帶而過。

do the math。math 是計算，do the math 就是「自己算算就懂了」。瑞秋說 I did the math，就是「我算過了」。
「一大清早、天剛亮」。crack of dawn 指天邊剛裂開一條光，也就是清晨很早的時候。
in a bit of a state。state 在這裡指狀態、情緒，in a bit of a state 就是有點慌、有點亂，常形容人坐立不安。
「公開記錄」，指任何人都能查的官方檔案。瑞秋提醒 purchase orders 仍是 public record，意思是這些單據瞞不住人。
get out of my way。這是很直接甚至有點衝的說法，讓人馬上讓開。情緒激動、急著往前衝時常用。
