新聞、公關行話，指稿子裡專門拎出來放大引用的一句話，通常是受訪者最有分量、最能代表立場的表態。瑞秋要的就是這樣一句能直接引用的摘句，有了它稿子才立得住。
break ground。原意是工程開工時第一次動土，也可以比喻開創新局。臺詞說 we can't wait to break ground once the plans are approved，就是盼著方案一批下來就開工，談專案、談建設時很常用。
turn into。用法是 turn A into B，把 A 變成 B。臺詞裡 a real journalist can turn any assignment into a story，就是「真正的記者能把任何題目都變成一篇故事」，鼓勵人別挑題目。
keep an eye out for。比 watch 更口語，強調留心別錯過。斯派瑟說 I'll be keeping an eye out for your byline，就是「我會留意你的署名」，等於說看好這個年輕記者。
