大衛要帶人去藥房取藥，卡莫迪夫人堵在門口，先問他一句 Are you so anxious to make your boy an orphan?（就這麼急著讓兒子成孤兒嗎），再撂下狠話：誰出門誰就被 torn to shreds（撕成碎片）。有人回她 leave well enough alone（別多管閒事），她反而更來勁。想用一句英語攔住別人去冒險，這段最合適。

拿石頭砸那些惹你生氣的人，完全沒問題。
用一句冷到極點的反話，把私刑說成理所當然。它把恐懼如何變成暴力講得最直白，是整部電影最黑的一句。

用反話諷刺把暴力合理化的邏輯時用，語氣冷；現實中引用需明確是在批評。

用反問逼對方重新考慮冒險的決定時用，語氣尖銳；玩笑場合說會非常傷人，務必分清物件。

說 torn to shreds。卡莫迪夫人警告要出門的人，走出那扇門就會被 torn to shreds，用得很狠。
指「狂妄自大、目空一切」，尤其是招來報應的那種傲慢。卡莫迪夫人用它給災難找解釋，說正是這種傲慢先招來了神的怒火。
可以說 no concern of yours。大衛被卡莫迪夫人拿兒子說事時，就回了一句 My boy is no concern of yours，意思是我的兒子輪不到你管。
那是在諷刺卡莫迪夫人。她拿《聖經》當武器，有人就順著她的話反諷：照《聖經》的說法，拿石頭砸惹你生氣的人也行。
