常用 break the ice，也可以說 start the ball rolling，意思是先起個頭、把場子帶動起來。聚會冷場、誰也不說話時最好用。
老派的驚訝感嘆，相當於「老天爺啊」，帶點上了年紀、端著架子的味道。戲裡有人用它抱怨自己差點說漏了不該說的身份。
它是醫學上的說法，指話多、語速快、停不下來，未必是病。戲裡有人半開玩笑地拿它點評另一位太太話太多，其實也在亮身份、擺專業。
字面是「熟能生巧」，戲裡卻是雙關：後面那句「大多數男人都欠練」，把話說得又曖昧又冒犯，是這類喜劇愛用的調情式玩笑。
