Aladdin's Last Wish Frees the Genie, Explained:owe you everything
Everyone expects the last wish to win the girl, and the Genie even spells out how to erase the law against her marrying a commoner. Instead, the wish goes somewhere else: "I wish to set you free." The scene's real subject isn't love between a prince and a princess - it's what a friend is willing to give up.
あらすじ
After Jafar's defeat, the Genie tries to cheer Aladdin up and plans his final wish for him: royalty was the right idea, and one word could erase the law that says a princess must marry a prince. Aladdin listens, then spends the wish on someone else. He sets the Genie free, and the two of them discover what freedom actually changes between them.

What's really going on
The whole film has been building to this one choice. The Genie's pitch is generous but safe: he walks Aladdin through the loophole that would let him marry Jasmine, quoting the decree that a princess "Must marry a prince" and offering to make the law vanish "like it never existed." It's the smart move, and Aladdin doesn't take it. "I wish to set you free" costs him the crown he spent the whole story chasing, and he pays it without hesitation. The banter that follows - "Tell me to do something." / "Get me some jams." / "Get it yourself?" - is the sound of a servant becoming a friend. The scene argues that the wish mattering most is the one you spend on somebody else.

このシーンについての質問
Why doesn't Aladdin use his last wish to marry Jasmine?
Because it would come at the Genie's expense. The Genie shows him how to change the law, but Aladdin would rather free his friend than take the throne that way.
What does Aladdin's final wish actually change?
It sets the Genie free. The lamp's hold ends, and the Genie goes from being a servant to being able to choose his own life.
Why does the Genie test his freedom right after?
He asks Aladdin to give him an order, then refuses to do it. "Get it yourself?" proves the old relationship is gone for good.
Who becomes the next sultan, and why?
The Sultan names Jasmine his successor, admitting he kept her locked away out of fear, and tells her that as sultan she can change the law herself.
Does the ending let Aladdin and Jasmine be together?
Yes, but not through a wish. Jasmine becomes sultan, and as ruler she has the power to rewrite the law that forced her to marry a prince.
