陪审室里有人复述老头的证词：他听见孩子喊「我要杀了你」，又有人说街对面的女士隔着高架列车看见行凶，说这 It's as plain as the nose on your face（一目了然）。也有人提醒，辨认一个喊叫的声音没那么容易：It's not that easy to identify a voice（没那么容易听清）。想学怎么质疑证词，这段全是关键句。

how clearly 连读，could have 弱读，through the ceiling 平收。

She said she saw the killing through the windows of a moving elevated train. There were six cars on the train. She saw the killing through the last two cars. She remembered the most insignificant details. I don't see how you can argue with that.

可以说 blow your stack，也可以说 blow your top。字面像「把炉子炸了」，形容突然火冒三丈。台词里说 You're always blowing your stacks，就是「你老是发那么大火」。
意思是收场、把事情了结。上班说 wrap it up 就是「赶紧收尾」；台词里有人不耐烦，说 You ought to wrap it up，就是「你该收场了」。
指劝得某人打消念头、放弃某事，反义是 talk someone into something。台词里说 talk us all out of this，就是「把我们都劝得不投有罪」。
字面是「听见自己思考」，用在噪音大的场合，指吵得连自己想的都听不见，常说 can't hear yourself think。台词里就用地铁噪音说明这一点。
