陪审团围桌逐一轮流说理由。第一个发言的人憋了半天，只说 I just think he's guilty（我就是觉得他有罪）。争执里有人质问对方是不是 born with a monopoly on the truth（独占真理），也有人强调 the burden of proof's on the prosecution（举证责任在控方）。想学辩论讲理的英语，这几句最硬。

形容布料时才指「薄」，形容说法、证据、借口时是「站不住脚、经不起推敲」。台词说 the boy's entire story was flimsy，就是这个意思。
字面是「对真理的垄断」，用来怼自以为掌握全部真相的人：Do you think you were born with a monopoly on the truth? 就是「你以为真理都让你一个人占了？」
「不带个人情绪、没有私人感情掺和」。有人说 I have no personal feelings about this，是想强调自己只看事实。
