a good sport。戲裡羅伯特誇妻子 my wife's a good sport，說她好脾氣、扛得住，跟著他去蘇門答臘也不會鬧情緒。
是比 Do you want to 更客氣的邀請。有人對萊斯利說 I say, would you care to dance?，就是很紳士地問「願不願意跳支舞」，正式場合、對不熟的人都合適。
意思是「連最小的細節都不放過」，形容做事、作證、寫方案都行。戲裡用它誇萊斯利的證詞精確到每一個小地方，語氣是真心佩服。
Would you excuse me, please? 戲裡萊斯利就是這麼說，然後從酒會中途起身離開，禮貌又不解釋去向。
