下一章 · 20the other way around正好相反這場戲：翻病歷吵要不要開刀意思是「供你們取樂的東西」，object 在這裡指「玩物、工具」。凱瑟琳用它控訴塞巴斯蒂安和他母親把人只當成享樂的工具。
used us as bait。bait 是「魚餌、誘餌」，used us as bait 就是「把我們當誘餌使」，形容被當工具利用。
willing to pay。be willing to 是「願意」，willing to pay 就是「肯出錢、肯付出代價」。凱瑟琳用它逼問維奧萊特肯為封口花多少。
意思是「以……為食、靠……活著」。臺詞說 You fed on life，就是「你靠吸食生命活著」，把人寫成被吸食的物件。
