The robbers have a hostage and a deadline, and the rulebook says the truck should simply drive away. The crew splits over it: 'But we're not leaving him behind,' one voice insists, while another argues the policy exists for exactly this. The driver ignores the policy and turns the truck into a weapon instead.

What happens

Robbers ambush the cash truck and seize a hostage while demanding the money. Standard company protocol says the crew should drive away rather than resist, and the men inside the truck fall into a furious argument about it. One of them refuses to abandon the person held, takes the wheel, and drives straight at the attackers.

What's really going on

The scene is a company policy put to the test and found wanting. The rule — drive away — is rational, and one guard says so plainly: 'You open it, they're just gonna kill all three of us and take the money anyway.' But 'But we're not leaving him behind' answers logic with loyalty, and 'he's one of us' reframes the hostage as a debt rather than a cost. The truck becomes the argument: whoever takes the wheel decides whether Fortico is a business or a crew. What follows is brutal and quick — the attackers are shot, and one is left alive just long enough to be asked, 'who do you work for?'

Why does H fight back instead of following protocol?

Because he refuses to trade a person for the money. Lines like 'we're not leaving him behind' and 'he's one of us' show the crew treating the hostage as their responsibility, and H acts on that.
