The story so far
Everything you need before watchingOppenheimer has just set up shop at Berkeley, next door to Ernest Lawrence's lab. Lawrence is building a machine to accelerate electrons and wants help; Oppenheimer refuses to build anything, but he wants to test theories with it. His first class is in an hour, and he has exactly one student. Then he walks into the room and starts with a paradox: light is both particle and wave. From there he asks them to follow a dying star all the way to where the math has never been.
