罗莎琳德被人带走，对方一脸客气：Now, Rosalind, don't be alarmed（罗莎琳德，别惊慌），转头却把她扣下。另一边侦探抱怨人被 give me the slip（甩掉），害他搞不清后续。想学这种绑人还彬彬有礼、甩人还装无辜的说法，这几句够用。
先安抚：Now, Rosalind, don't be alarmed（别惊慌）

一条线上，德莱艾找上门，罗莎琳德想挂电话都被拦住；对方先客气一句 Now, Rosalind, don't be alarmed（别惊慌），接着说 But you're gonna come with me（你得跟我走一趟），要她跟自己走，直到把她丈夫那些烂事了结。她只回 I'm not going anywhere（我哪儿也不去）。另一条线上，侦探在车上边开边打电话找人，说自己被他们 give me the slip（甩掉）了，还提醒对方 put your seat belt on（系上安全带）。don't be alarmed 是「别惊慌」，常用来安抚或稳住对方；give someone the slip 是把人甩掉、溜走；put your seat belt on 就是系上安全带。绑架、追逐、打电话这些场面，这几句很实用。
A1–C2 是欧标等级。点一个等级后，比它高的卡片会变淡，播放到那里不会自动暂停。

把绑架说成「跟我走一趟」，越轻描淡写越叫人后背发凉。

口语
gonna 轻读，until I can 连读，句尾降调收。

用一句「我猜」把死亡消息说得像闲聊，冷静得近乎残忍。

一句抱怨把叙事断口说圆，give me the slip 又准又俏。

解释自己为何不知情、顺便埋怨对方时用；正式汇报里别这么口语。

下一章 · 13on the cheap贱价这场戏：登门要挟反被轰走意思是把某人甩掉、趁人不注意溜走。原句说你们俩 managed to give me the slip，就是「你们俩把我甩掉了」，甩得干净利落。
说 Suit yourself。别人拒绝你的好意、或不肯配合时，用这句表示「那随你」，语气有点无所谓，甚至带点不高兴。
意思是「别惊慌」，常用来安抚人、或把坏消息说轻。原句 Now, Rosalind, don't be alarmed，先安抚再摊牌，越是客气越让人心里发毛。
说 let alone，后面接更极端的情况。原句 Let alone what Dry Eye was up to，就是「更别提德莱艾在打什么主意了」。
多半不是。它是反讽，表面「哦太好了」，实际是嫌麻烦又来一桩。原句 Oh goody. Another bottle，就是那种皮笑肉不笑。
