记者室里，希尔迪刚订好三张去奥尔巴尼的票——她、未婚夫布鲁斯和布鲁斯的妈妈——还宣布自己不干新闻了。同事们起哄，说想象不出她哼摇篮曲、晾尿布的样子，一句 Sour grapes 把她的辩解噎回去。另一边更热闹：沃尔特安排布鲁斯做保险体检，趁体检结果顺手把话题引到保单上，问一句 Who's the beneficiary?，劝布鲁斯把希尔迪写成受益人，说这是自己欠的情、是 a debt of honor，还打感情牌说「替希尔迪的晚年想想」。布鲁斯被绕得直说 feel like a heel。几个表达值得学：beneficiary 是「受益人」，take care of 是「照顾、照看」，feel like a heel 是「觉得自己像个混蛋」。聊保险、劝人、自嘲都用得上。

下一章 · 07give something six months预计撑不过半年这场戏：牢房采访套出疯话字面是「酸葡萄」，实际意思是「吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸」，指嘴上贬低自己得不到的东西。这里有人拿它回敬希尔迪，觉得她说要离开是嘴硬。
可以说 beneficiary。保险体检后一句 Who's the beneficiary?，就是问这保单赔给谁；布鲁斯说写希尔迪，受益人就定成她了。
是「觉得自己像个混蛋」。布鲁斯看沃尔特这么上心，反过来说 you make me feel like a heel，觉得自己夹在两人中间，很不是滋味。
可以说 settle down。希尔迪说自己 I'm settling down，就是「我要安顿下来、成家了」，紧接着还说新闻这行不干了。
是「人情债、道义上的亏欠」，指欠着别人、理应还的情分。沃尔特用它解释自己为什么坚持替希尔迪的保险掏钱。
